This major studies human exercise sciences based on natural science. Curriculum is focused on the area of human exercise, health, safety, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. Students will be taught in depth of each class, guided for pursuing professional careers, and given chances of field experience and internships. SHR was selected as a program of Creative Korea II (CK-II), which is government funded from the year of 2014. For the program, SHR joined with ‘Convergence Mechanical Engineering major’ of the College of Engineering and formed ‘Human Technology (HT) major’. HT is the first and the only convergence program merging and collaborating exercise sciences with mechanical engineering in the nation. Students in each independent major will experience their primary majoring area as well as the converged area. With HT program, students would benefit more with scholarships, field trips, professional meeting participations, internships, and other diverse activities. HT program can be extended further to advanced education of three graduate programs in Kookmin University including Sports Natural Science major, Health, Exercise and Rehabilitation major, and Sports Engineering Convergence major. This is the only connected program from undergraduate to graduate in the nation.
